Ruby aka Reuben has been tricky today, but not as tricky sorting out double booked appointments at the hospital. We visited the consultant. The good news is the cancer doesn’t seem to be too aggressive, the scan we recently had done on the pelvis and abdomen is clear – more good news! Tomorrow’s box of delights includes a MRI and a bone scan at two different hospitals- yippee! Thanks to Katy for looking after the offspring and observing their four-way carrot fight. Ken cuts a fine dash in those pin stripes btw!
Thought I would try the comments out- all new to me. Just to let you know we are thinking about you all and hope you got Steve’s E mail and the parcel. I’m sure Esme and Reuben are keeping you diverted, busy and entertained?? entertained I’m sure thats not the right word!
I know how you love feet so I thought you would like to hear of the conversation I over heard between you nephew and nieces. They were discussing how badly their feet peeled after camping. Isobel’s apparently were still bad. Bex told her, well thats because you haven’t picked them.
Hmm I thought all the whitish bits on the carpet were bits of hamster bedding- well I suppose we must be grateful James no longer bites his toe nails.
Hope this inane babble doesn’t go out for all to see, and i hope your feet haven’t peeled too badly.
Jane
I think Esme has cured my lifelong shortsightedness. She asked why i was wearing glasses, when obviously I can see perfectly without them…Anyway, I thought maybe she was right, so ditched the specs and spent the afternoon wandering around in a very nice daze…couldn’t see the holiday unpacking, or the washing up, burnt the kids tea (but they don’t eat it anyway!). So , I think I’ll be glasses free forever now (except maybe not when driving). Also, just to demonstrate what a kind and considerate daughter you have, she helped Lydia pick up her nibbly cereals during lunch in the hall today!
Also, I’ll swop you Reuben for Joe any day you like this week….
Would you be interested in playing the African drums for two hours on October 11th in Beaconsfield? You’ll forget all about treatments with that kind of headache!! ( I am serious btw)
Love you lots,
Catherine and the rest of the mouldy potatoes (as Lydia calls us!)
>the cancer doesn’t seem to be too aggressive
That is fab news. Keep it coming!
